Overview
Douglas Fir is grown throughout the Pacific Northwest (coastal Oregon, Washington, Northern California) and inland at higher elevations.
It is a premier softwood known for its high strength and stiffness, straight grain, and suitability for structural use. It is widely used in western forests and lumber manufacturing.
Often used for dimension lumber in framing, heavy structural members, millwork and beams.
