Douglas Fir
Pseudotsuga menziesii
Overview
Douglas Fir grows throughout the Pacific Northwest, from coastal Oregon and Washington into Northern California, and inland at higher elevations.
Builders know it for strength and straight grain. We trade the other side of the species: vertical grain, C and Better, flooring stock, and timbers cut to order — where the grain that makes it strong is also what makes it worth seeing.
Often specified for exposed timbers and beams, flooring, millwork, ceilings, and door and window stock.
