Overview 

Western Hemlock is native to the Pacific Northwest.

It is a moderate strength softwood with uniform texture, often used in construction where appearance is secondary, and suitable for machines and hand work.

Often used in framing lumber, structural and non-structural members, utility mills, and sometimes millwork and mouldings.
