Bigleaf Maple

Acer macrophyllum (also called Pacific maple)

Overview 

Bigleaf Maple grows along the Pacific Northwest coast, from Oregon and Washington into British Columbia.

It is a soft maple, lighter and milder than hard maple, with cream to white sapwood over a reddish-brown heart, and it sometimes comes figured.

Often used for flooring, cabinetry and casework, furniture, musical instruments, veneer, and turned objects.
