Western Pines

A western pine grouping, chiefly Pinus ponderosa (ponderosa pine), with sugar pine (Pinus lambertiana) and western white pine (Pinus monticola)

Overview 

Western Pines grow across the mountains and forests of the western United States.

These are soft, stable, even-working pines with straight grain and moderate strength. They machine and finish cleanly.

Often used for millwork and moulding, paneling, shop and pattern stock, boxes, and general construction.
